I’ve been fascinated by portraits, especially Victorian ones. Were all those ladies sitting for their portraits, posing at their own will? Were they happy? What thoughts were going through their minds as they sat for long hours?

Embroidering silhouette portraits is my take on ‘sitting pretty for a portrait’ adding some modern silhouettes like the silhouette of the mouse cursor.
